I’ve been making super slow progress on a fic synposis. I’m trying to lay out all of its pieces before I turn it into prose, but I wish I could get to the actual writing! How do you approach projects? Are you a plotter or a pantser?

No fic writing happened today, but I may have a go at putting together an outline or something tonight, if I can stay awake.

I'm a plotter. I love outlines, so I outline my plots to death, especially with longer stories. Short stories get less outlining, but I still usually do some plotting, and only fly by the seat of my pants within the parts of my outline where I have allowed myself free reign!

Planning, which is directly related to the question at hand: I'm a plotter through and through, but stupid stuff tends to happen that forces me to be a pantser, and that's annoying, IMO.
