WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 1 -- Sunday

Greetings and Happy October! Welcome to the first day of a new month for our WIP Challenge.

What kind of a writing day has it been today -- or yesterday, if today hasn't gotten going yet?

Discussion:  Before we get started in a new month, how did last month go for meeting your writing goals?

I wrote today -- long hand on a scrap of paper. I will be typing it up and adding to it shortly, in hopes of actually posting today.

I did not succeed in accomplishing any of my goals last month, so my plan is to do better this month! That's not to say I didn't write, but none of the writing I did was connected to my writing goals for the month.

Planning for the month to come, since this past month has been a wash. Too much going on in real life for the writing life to be terribly successful. Hopefully, I can whittle down the former and improve the latter by doing so.

Today I wrote a synopsis for an exchange fic due towards the end of October, so I guess that's part writing, part planning/research.

I completed my goal for last month, which was to draft and edit a fic. It's a little guy (about 950 words) and it wasn't the fic that I set out to draft and edit, but I'll take it.
