WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 4 -- Wednesday

Hello on Wednesday!  Looks like Tuesday disappeared on me -- it was a start early, end late kind of a day, and I ended up forgetting to post yesterday.  Hope you all had productive writing days!

What kind of a writing day has it been today -- or yesterday, if today hasn't gotten going yet?

•     I wrote
•     I did some planning and/or research
•     I edited
•     I've sent my fic off to my beta
•     I posted today!
•     I'm taking a break
•     I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

Discussion:  Do you like to use outlines or do you write "by the seat of your pants" -- or a combination of the two?

I did some preliminary writing, which may end up going into the final product, as well as some planning.

I was actually working on my outline for my next WIP chapter, in an attempt to remind myself what I am doing after neglecting it for so long. My outlines are usually pretty detailed, covering the order of events I want in a particular chapter, who the main characters will be, and some ideas for conversations that might take place between them. I am most definitely an outline person, and only write by the seat of my pants within the bounds of the already set outline -- in other words, when inspiration takes hold for something that's not specifically written down in the outline.

I wish I was an outliner but I am not because if I were I might not get into trouble so much!
