Signups for the July WIP challenge!

It's that time again: signups for next month's WIP challenge are now open.

In the past, we've had some people join midmonth, or comment on check-in posts without officially signing up. That's fine, too -- I'm glad there's a way for the challenge to be useful in a variety of ways!

But for those of you who find the commitment of saying out loud that you're going to finish something useful (as I do!), please sign up as below.

Signups will be open until the end of June.

• Level of challenge: 1 chapter, 1000 words, 1 fic finished, whatever you like
  
• Fandom(s) involved: if you know at this point
  
• What you're looking for from the challenge: this could be as vague or specific as you like: someone to be accountable to, someone to remind you to write, someone to bounce ideas off, etc.
  
• What you could offer other participants yourself: ditto!
  
• How people should contact you: DW message, e-mail, IM etc.
  
• Time zone: useful for seeing who might be up for a writing session at a time convenient to you

I couldn't continue to run this challenge without assistance with the daily check-in posts. Many thanks to everyone who's helped with the check-ins before!

Could I please get some volunteers to help with check-ins for July? A week per person would be ideal, if possible (I usually assign weeks running Sunday-Saturday just for consistency, & so I don't get gaps of one or two days, but if that's difficult let me know). I'm happy to help come up with suggestions for discussion topics or other things to do for the check-ins if need be. Just let me know if you're able to help out. Thanks!

& I hope for those of you doing the challenge this month that it's going well -- we've heard from lots of you during the check-in posts, but if we haven't heard from you yet, or in a while, why not take a moment to comment on yesterday's post (or today's, when it goes up)?

Level of challenge: Finish my Big Bang fic, due at the end of the month. I have other WIPs going, but they will have to take their place on the back burner -- this month it's Big Bang or nothing!

Fandom(s) involved: Lord of the Rings

What you're looking for from the challenge: cheerleading, daily accountability, a place to complain about RL when it gets in my way

What you could offer other participants yourself: all of the above -- I can do a week of daily posts, but if some new folk want to get involved, you can use me as back up.

It would be great to have you doing the check-in posts again! I think we have someone for the last full week in July; is there another week that would work for you?

My best week is July 17-23, though July 3-9 is also doable. Either one of those will be fine!
