WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 4 -- Saturday

Hello on Saturday!  I see I actually labeled yesterday's check-in as Saturday (at least I properly referred to Friday in the post itself) -- I had the day off yesterday, so it must have felt like a Saturday, thus the mislabeling.  ;-)  Anyway, it's really Saturday now -- what kind of a writing day has it been today (or yesterday, if today hasn't gotten going yet)?

•     I did some planning and/or research
•     I edited
•     I've sent my fic off to my beta
•     I posted today!
•     I'm taking a break
•     I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

I'd hoped to hear back from a friend about going out of town for the day. Since I didn't, I wrote, and will be writing more. See? Optimism. Plan is to take this fic I was going to finish by New Years and actually finish before Thanksgiving. See? More optimism.

And I would totally share snippets, but anything at this point spoils too much for my nitpicking tastes. So I'll instead mention I'm thinking about picking up two unrelated Dexter/Buffy crossovers that have been on the back burner for some time.
