WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 4 -- Thursday

Hello on Thursday!  What kind of a writing day has it been today -- or yesterday, if today hasn't gotten going yet?

•         I wrote
•         I did some planning and/or research
•         I edited
•         I've sent my fic off to my beta
•         I posted today!
•         I'm taking a break
•         I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

Thursday Discussion - Have you ever been asked to do a sequel for a story that you considered complete and never intended to continue?  How do you feel -- honored?  Annoyed?  Do such requests make you reconsider writing more?

I have had productive planning and note-writing sessions yesterday and today, which also included some editing. It takes awhile to get back into a long-dormant WIP, so I'm making sure I'm ready before I start writing actual words.

I've had a couple of situations where people asked for a sequel and I was surprised because I considered it a one-shot. Mostly I feel honored, but not necessarily ready to open up the story again. In one case I did make a folder for a possible continuation and did some research and took notes, but there won't be any writing done on that tale until my other projects get worked on -- I will have to keep taking notes, though, because the story I am currently working on has given me a couple of ideas for that one, as well!
