WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 4 -- Wednesday

Hello on Wednesday! What kind of a writing day has it been today -- or yesterday, if today hasn't gotten going yet?

       - I thought about my fic once or twice
       - I wrote
       - I did some planning and/or research
       - I edited
       - I've sent my fic off to my beta
       - I posted today!
       - I'm taking a break
       - I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

Wednesday Discussion - Do any of you have multiple WIPs that you are working on?  Do you stick with a single WIP until it is finished before starting something new, or do you have a finger in many different story "pies"?

My week is rapidly getting out of hand, and planned writing times are being eaten up by other work, alas! So nothing accomplished as yet, maybe tomorrow...

I have multiple WIPs in the works, and while I really ought to stick with a WIP to finish it before starting a new one, I don't!

I wrote a chapter in one of my fics yesterday. Today hasn't really gotten going yet, but I know I won't have time to write: Work this morning, then shoveling snow, then class this evening, followed by getting home an hour past my usual bedtime leaves no time for it. Especially since I'm hoping to catch a nap before shoveling snow.

I've currently got 2 WIPs going. Neither one of them shows signs of ending, so I'm happy just keeping them going. The only restriction I make on WIPs is I won't ever again do multiple WIPs at once using the same characters - I was in that situation last fall and I'd find myself on the verge of having the characters in one fic reacting to events that had happened in the other. It just got to be too much trouble to keep straight.
