Hello on Monday! What kind of a writing day has it been today -- or yesterday, if today hasn't gotten going yet?

       - I thought about my fic once or twice
       - I wrote
       - I did some planning and/or research
       - I edited
       - I've sent my fic off to my beta
       - I posted today!
       - I'm taking a break
       - I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

Monday Discussion - Are outlines and plans generally helpful or do you work better just letting the writing take you whither it will?

I had a break yesterday, so today I need to buckle down and work on something.

I rely heavily on outlines and plans. Once I have an outline, I can let the writing go where it wants to, but I definitely prefer to have the structure of a plan as the foundation for starting off.
