Hello on Sunday!  What kind of a writing day has it been today -- or yesterday, if today hasn't gotten going yet?

       - I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

Sunday Discussion: Today is my birthday, so with that in mind, I'm wondering if you have ever participated in a birthday story challenge or written a story for someone for their birthday?

Things haven't gotten going yet, but some "me" time is in order today, and I'm planning on using it for writing.

I used to be part of a fandom community where the person with the birthday posted what kind of story they wanted as a "gift" and other members of the community wrote a suitable story -- it was a great way to get multiple stories about your favorite character or situation, and also an opportunity to write stories with interesting prompts that others were requesting.

I’ve been writing and editing when I’ve not been too distracted.

I once wrote a birthday Drabble for someone on LJ years ago. Still have it posted somewhere.

Still on target today. More sleep has made writing easier, and I hope to keep up that momentum. Almost at 50,000 words for the year to date – not quite the 60,000 that I need for my goal, but I am catching up quickly.

I have done 'fics for people for holidays (especially the end-of-year holidays), but not for a birthday. Not that I can recall, at least.
