Discussion: deadlines. Do you keep to deadlines for exchanges, big bangs etc? What about self imposed deadlines?

I've got some appointments to go to before I can really get on with my writing today. While I'm online I may do a test post for project!ambition -aka- shipper essay of doom to make sure that I've not goofed on the HTML because I keep missing those when I've done pen edits along with spotting some really odd spellings.

I've been okay with deadlines for exchanges but big bangs are too restrictive for me and I've only ever managed to complete one so far, summer mini challenge and other similar prompt challeneges is one those where even when I've not finished, I've still managed to use whatever prompts were leftover later on. Self imposed deadlines vary for me because I can very easily just change it until I find I've lost all interest in whatever I'm working on but the one I have for project!ambition of 19.8 is unchangable because I want it finished, well as close to finished as I can get it before I travel on 21.8

I outlined yesterday for a chapter I'm working on, and did some research to make sure my outlined ideas worked. I'm further along now in getting ready to start writing the chapter, so that will hopefully happen later today.
