Hello on Sunday!  What kind of a writing day has it been today -- or yesterday, if today hasn't gotten going yet?

       - I did some planning and/or research

       - I've sent my fic off to my beta
       - I posted today!
       - I'm taking a break
       - I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

Sunday Discussion:  How established is your fandom's canon? How much do you rely on it when writing?

I wrote yesterday (annual reports for work; boring but still writing!).

My main canon (Tolkien) is very established, with a vast number of books as well as films to refer to when writing. I rely heavily on the book canon, and even when I am engaged in writing AU, it is still based on book canon.

Planning. Going to have to trim a number of projects if life continues to be as busy as it has been.

Video game canon has the luxury of flexibility, more often than not, though there have been times where I have had to cook up canon on my own to fill in gaps.
