Posting this early because I am not going to be available at the normal time this evening. What have you been doing today?

Question: Do you ever get a great idea for writing when you are in the middle of a big social activity and cannot act on it?

I wrote a short little fic yesterday. Very happy and excited!

I did some planning and a bit of research today.

I generally get ideas at difficult times, so I try to have pen and a notepad in my purse, as well as an app for note-taking on my phone. One can usually manage to get enough notes down that the idea isn't totally lost, even if writing it up is impossible.
