WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 17 -- Thursday

Hello on Thursday!  I know it may be early in the day yet for some of you, but did you write today?

If yes, what kind of writerly activity did you engage in?  How do you feel about it?

If no, what were the obstacles/situations that affected your writerly pursuits?  What will you do differently tomorrow (or later today) to get more writing done?

I continued with looking at my notes for various WIPs and adding to them for planning purposes, trying to decide whether to keep working on the WIP I have had recent success with, or to work on something else that needs some TLC. I probably won't have more time to devote to actual writing today, but tomorrow is a day off, so I'll try to choose my plan and get to work then.

I wrote! I added a little bit to two future chapters I started writing yesterday. One of them I don't think will end up being useful for the story after all (useful for me as the writer, not so much for the actual story) and the other one is too far into future events to know if it will fit in, but I do like the end results.

OMG I love the icon! I'm not sure if it's meant to, but it's giving me very strong Secret of Nimh vibes that make me love it even more!

Oh, thanks! I adore this one. It's actually from the cover of one of the Redwall books, which are I believe tonally similar to Secret of Nimh--ilyena_sylph made it from my Snowflake wishlist. Mariel of Redwall is one of my favorite books and did a lot to inspire my writing currently (besides the fact that I write for the fandom).

I did, and I feel pretty accomplished even though I didn't write much because I solved a pretty big problem I was having in this chapter by just moving one section of dialogue. Funny how sometimes little things make a huge difference!

I have not written yet today, but I may write later tonight. We are in the final 30 hours of fandom_stocking, so i've been preoccupied with getting pinch hits sorted for the remaining few stockings (there are 5 left if anyone is curious and can take a peek). Also, I may need to write some porn for a fandom I'm not in to fill one of these stockings ... stay tuned!

As a follow up to yesterday's comment about needing beta input on my chocolateboxcomm ideas, I did email the girl that agreed to beta for me. I haven't received a reply yet, but I'll let that sit until I have more time and/or I settle on an idea on my own. I'm sadly a little stressed with real life work and the fest so it's not been the most productive week in writing. Things will open up a lot for me after the 19th, so I'm trying to just go with the flow and worry about the things that are more immediate.

Still making decent progress on the main WIP: Started third scene and now halfway or more done. Feeling pretty okay. Tomorrow is a conjugal visit get-together with that special someone, so we'll see how much gets written before and after.

Yes I wrote today but it was work related! I write at night when I get home. The biggest obstacle is being exhausted after work. I will try to write tonight. I generally work on editing or research at night since it's takes a bit less concentration. I need to do less social media, Facebook, Tumblr etc. and more writing.

I did not write today. Thursday is my day of the week for running Dungeons & Dragons, though, and that requires similar planning, as well as extra housecleaning.

No and yes on the writing, because doggo had a vet appointment today, but I managed to get a bit more added to my exchange WIP.
