Happy Friday! How's writing?
-Wrote something, woo!
-Planning, outlining, note taking, research, etc.
-Editing
-Sent something to my beta
-It's done! I posted!
-Thought about writing
-Taking a day off
-Something else (discuss in comments)
Friday Discussion: What do you do if you decide you really don't like a story of a part of a story sometime after you've posted it? Do you leave it alone for the sake of the people that enjoyed it or some personal reason? Do you revise it and repost? Delete it entirely? Something else?

Date: Friday, February 8th, 2019 23:54 (UTC)Generally speaking, once I have posted a story, it stays posted, warts and all, unless it needs a change of venue (see: me vacating FFN for greener, less reformat-y pastures).

Date: Saturday, February 9th, 2019 00:01 (UTC)I usually leave a story as it is, unless it's something small that I can fix, like a typo or something, but I have also done some revising that was more major than that a time or two. In one case, after I had a posted a few chapters, I realized I didn't like the direction a character was going, so I went back and changed a few things, making a note that it was a revised version. Another time I wanted to do a different version of a story so I made a new story out of it, to change the ending -- but left the old version posted and linked to it in the new version.
