Nothing like adjusting the playlist for the next writing session, whenever that happens to be. What have you been doing?

— Thinking. Maybe a little, maybe a lot.
— Writing.
— Planning and / or researching.
— Editing.
— Sending things to the beta.
— Posting!
— Relaxing, taking a break, etc.
— Other stuff-ing. Look at the comment.

Question: What was the most recent addition to your writing playlist (if you have one)?

No actual writing, but I made some important decisions on the WIP chapter I'm trying to finish this month, and I ought to be able to move forward next time I have a free writing day.

My latest edition to my playlist is the soundtrack from the computer game Foundation. I haven't played the game, but saw a trailer for it and liked the music, so hunted it up on Youtube -- listening to it now, even though I'm not writing yet! It's just the kind of background music I find helpful for focusing on writing.

Today's version of a writing session was actually the discovery of the latest playlist addition! (Muse, "Time Is Running Out", if anyone was curious. The lyrics aren't perfectly fitting, but the overall tone nails a specific relationship I've been trying to pin down, so that worked out well.) I didn't so much write as pace the apartment thinking of scenarios with the music turned up too loud, but I got somewhere on the overall story arc.

And I also wrote a few paragraphs of the second-to-last drabble for the fluff bingo challenge I'm doing, which I only have three days left to work on, so that was good too.

I love the image of you pacing with the music - I totally use music for mood and tone help too, and it's fun to hear of others doing that. :D

Music is my biggest writing prompt--if I can find a good song, there'll be extensive pacing/walking with the earbuds in until the scene starts to fall into place, and then I go write it. (Or make some notes and go to bed, depending on the time of day.)

I'm afraid I didn't get any fic writing done in the past day. Thought about what to work on next now that I've run into a wall with the last WIP (what I wouldn't give for a Rookie Blue fan to chat with and help me plot, lol), but no decisions - been too busy creating math worksheets.

I don't have a general writing playlist, but I do have songs or mini-playlists for specific fics, depending on what the fic is. Sometimes I have songs or mini-playlists for a canon, that I can listen to for writing anything for that canon, other times I find a song as I'm writing that fits the mood. (Sometimes I've even titled the fics from the song - a couple of my Alphas fics are good examples, as one I titled Crash and Burn after the Savage Garden song, and the lyrics fit the story perfectly. Another one got its title from the lyrics to Dare You to Move by Switchfoot - "maybe forgiveness is right where you fell".) The most recent WIP I was trying to write used Ghost, by Folly and the Hunter (*great* song, useful if you want a bit of relationship-related angst in a vague way).

I wrote on one chapter yesterday while trying to figure out another one.

I don't have a writing playlist other than listening to my series soundtrack sometimes while writing. The latest song I added was Shallow from A Star Is Born. Literally added it Sunday night after seeing a clip of Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper sing it at the Oscars (the ONLY part of that entire affair I watched) online. I have one other song from the movie on my soundtrack (I'll Never Love Again). Lady Gaga usually hasn't been my cup of tea in the past but when she sings something like these songs, wow what a voice she has!

Mostly other stuffing in the form of job hunting and creating applications for said jobs.
