Alas, February never stays for long. What have you been doing?

— Thinking. Maybe a little, maybe a lot.
— Writing.
— Planning and / or researching.
— Editing.
— Sending things to the beta.
— Posting!
— Relaxing, taking a break, etc.
— Other stuff-ing. Look at the comment.

Question: On a scale of 1 (awful) to 10 (fantastic), how do you feel about your output for this month?

I jotted some notes about a story idea and researched it a bit to see if it was workable.

As far as planning and research goes, my month can be rated a 10. As far as getting work done on my WIP's next chapter, it's been more like a 3 or 4. Not absolutely awful, but I didn't do much more than work out which direction I want to go out of 4 or 5 possibilities. I guess it was a successful month in that I finally did make a decision!

I wrote up outlines for two longer WIPs today! It wasn't a lot in terms of word output, but I'm really happy to have the plots for both laid out. I've already started the writing on both, but having a nice clear summary of where I'm going will keep them from going off on the tangents I tend to fall into on longer fics.

I'm at about an 8, I think. Happy with what I've accomplished, but didn't push myself super hard either.

Did some writing and then thought about doing some more writing, but focused back on job apps.

I've actually been trying to write on my WIP - and made great progress this evening! Got past a hurdle and started really writing the one scene I'd had an idea for, and it's coming along - plus there's still another scene or two I know what to do with. I'm only stopping because I'm too tired to continue, and 700 words is very satisfying for an evening after weeks of 100-200 at best (and some nights not writing anything).

Hmm, probably a 5? Like, as long as I'm writing a little, I'm content. It's not fantastic, but it's definitely not awful. I'm more happy that I'm at least continuing on this WIP - and I love the next idea I got too (but really, I have 12 of these ideas for Rookie Blue already—every one of them a canon divergence AU—and who knows which I'll pick to go with when I stop writing the one I'm on, lol).

Thinking a bit, mostly other-stuffing, and as is the case for this entire month, no actual writing. Had a minor accident that resulted in major pain and feels like it's gonna stick around for the next couple months (hope nothing more than a bruised rib).

This month has been a 2, and the only thing that saved it from being a 1 was that I did post one story, albeit one that was already half-written from sixteen years ago. Nothing horrible has happened apart from my ribs, and I haven't been completely socially isolated, but it's still been a blah last few weeks. So fuck the world and the state of it. I don't give a shit what the rest of you think, I have a right to exist.

I've fallen off the wagon a bit and I am aiming to get back on next week.
