What kind of a writing day has it been so far today -- or if today hasn't gotten going yet, how did you fare yesterday?
- I thought about my fic once or twice
- I wrote
- I did some planning and/or research
- I edited
- I've sent my fic off to my beta
- I posted today!
- I'm taking a break
- I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment
Saturday Discussion - Today is a good day for talking about general writing topics or posting snippets of what you are currently working on. Feel free to share what you are working on, or whatever is on your mind with your writing today!

Date: Sunday, March 10th, 2019 07:05 (UTC)I would share a bit of the fic I've been writing, but I'm not even going to name the fandom - all anyone needs to know is that it's RPF of the most ridiculous sort, lol.
So instead, I shall share a snippet from the last WIP:
She went on, "Every time I see him, I'm reminded of it. I'm suddenly there again, kneeling on the floor with a gun pressed against my head, begging for my life."
"You still mad at him?"
"No." Andy thought for a moment. "Well, maybe a little." She was trying not to be, at least. She looked out the window as they pulled up to the curb outside a sandwich shop. "Would you trust him, if you were in my place? To have your back again?"
Gallagher put the car into park and turned the engine off before turning to face her. "McNally, I've never been in that situation, so I can't really answer honestly. But I think my head would say one thing and my gut would probably say another."
She sighed. "Story of my life."
Gallagher chuckled a little. "When they don't agree, which do you follow?"
Andy stared straight ahead for a few seconds before she turned back toward him, a wistful smile on her face. "My TO taught me to follow my gut."
This is particularly poignant for those who know the canon. For those who don't (and want to understand), the following explains: The guy who was her TO (and him telling her to listen to her gut is a canon thing) is the one she had later dated and who broke up with her following his best friend's death, spent six weeks ignoring her calls, then told her he loved her while she was holding a *bomb* (she couldn't deal with that right then so she went undercover to give things time to settle)—and she returns from her undercover op a few days ago to discover that he had another gf. She had expected to come back from the undercover and be able to go back to her regular life, and instead she's lost the guy she loves, and her good friend and undercover partner is now inextricably linked with a traumatic event, to where she can't even really trust him properly. (And if it's not obvious, the only part of that sequence of events that isn't actually canon—is her reaction to the traumatic event and not being able to trust the friend/undercover partner—and in my opinion, that's a more logical reaction than the way the show presented it. The rest of it I did not make up at all; it's all in the show! Gotta love a soap opera masquerading as a cop drama, lol.)
I like writing angst, can't you tell? :)
