Okay, fellow ficcers, it's Friday!
How's today going??
Are you...
~ writing?
~ reading?
~ critiquing?
~ outlining?
~ brainstorming?
~ pulling your hair out?
~ allowing the muse a vacation, or at the very least a long weekend?
And it's also weekly snippet/beta-seeking/general chat day, so we'll do that instead of a discussion question.

“I am sorry, Spike, but assuming an inherently false statement to be true is liable to cause havoc with my battle computer. As a human, you have never been subjected to the full extent of Ratchet's ire. I have, however, and crashing my battle computer over a human riddle has a high probability of invoking it. Perhaps Optimus or Jazz would appreciate your riddle.”
“Wait!” Bumblebee's laughter cut off with an abruptness suggestive of an emotional protocol inhibitor, a small program patch Prowl knew to be utilised by several Ops mechs and which he suspected neither Ratchet nor Optimus would approve of. “Look up the Blue Man Group, Prowl.”
Prowl did so, and when he had accessed the results of his search, he shuttered his optics in a borrowed human expression of surprise, mostly for Spike's benefit.
“Very well,” he acceded, “continue.”
That one is from today's drabble, and here's one from my current WIP:
In the end, the plan was a simple one: Trailbreaker would hold Prowl down, and Hound would tickle him.
The initial phase went off without a hitch. They cornered Prowl during one of his brief breaks for energon, and within moments Trailbreaker had managed to pin the officer up against the wall. After that, it got a little bumpy.
Prowl didn't struggle, but his doorwings were tucked protectively against his chassis as he said quietly, “I believe you are aware of the usual punishment for assault on a ranking officer, Trailbreaker. Whatever your goal, you may wish to reconsider.”
Trailbreaker looked at Hound with a worried frown. “Is this assault?”
They're both rather silly, I suppose, and even the WIP isn't something I expect to be much longer than a couple thousand words, but they're fairly easy to write and quite fun as well. I suppose I'm just happy to be getting anything down at all.
