Sorry I missed yesterday, an unexpected fic got away from me as did time.
How is the writing going today? What about the last two days?
Discussion: editing is a necessary evil. Do you edit as you go? Ask someone to look it over for you? Check it over yourself and post?

Date: Wednesday, May 15th, 2019 22:30 (UTC)I usually edit as I go, and also do editing myself after a fic is complete. I don't have a beta, since I actually like editing, so I prefer to do it myself.

I'm always editing as I go, but whether I have someone look over it afterwards or just check it over myself has to do with fic length and fandom. Shorter fics as well as ones in fandoms no one knows, I'm more likely to just post. (Exchange fics can be like that too - hard to look for a fandom beta without giving away the fandom!) Long stuff that isn't for an exchange, well, my alpha reader is a pretty decent beta too, has been catching lots of errors for me.
