I think that's a situation a lot of comm members are familiar with! Do you do this sort of thing? I definitely think that sometimes switching gears & working on a different fic can be helpful & give your brain a break. But sometimes (at least for me) it's just unproductive procrastination. Is there a way you can tell the difference? How do you rein yourself in & get yourself back on track if it is just fruitless procrastination? (Is it ever procrastination? Maybe all words are good words!)

I whish I would procrastinate by doing housework. That would at least be useful. (I'm so bad with housework I don't even do it for procrastination.) Instead I do useless stuff.
