The middle of the week is a bit like a teeter-totter. You're sitting on one side, and the weekend is on the other. What have you been doing?
— Thinking. Maybe a little, maybe a lot.
— Writing.
— Planning and / or researching.
— Editing.
— Sending things to the beta.
— Posting!
— Relaxing, taking a break, etc.
— Other stuff-ing. Look at the comment.
Question: Do you write more quickly as you get closer to the end of a story, or do you start off quickly and then slow down?

Date: Thursday, May 30th, 2019 14:53 (UTC)I think I must start off quickly and slow down, because I have only managed to finish one of several WIPs, and finishing that one took forever, even though it was almost done!

Date: Thursday, May 30th, 2019 22:05 (UTC)Usually the latter - but my Yuletide story this last year was the reverse, mostly because I had sorted all of it out by that point and I wanted to be done writing it, so I spent more time each day. The last weekend I think I wrote 5k over the whole weekend, just trying to finish it.
