The end of the month is when deadlines start to feel heavy. What have you been doing?

— Thinking. Maybe a little, maybe a lot.

— Outlining, planning, and / or prewriting.
— Researching and / or revisiting canon.
— Editing.
— Sending things to the beta.

— Relaxing, taking a break, etc.

Question: How heavy are your deadlines (if you have any)?

I did some more editing yesterday, trying to get my pinch hit presentable before deadline. My only strict deadline is for the pinch hit as it's due on Wednesday.

I did editing for someone else who needed help with a term paper; other than that, I didn't get any of my own writing time in. Today will hopefully go better -- I'm getting ready to do some writing work now.

I currently don't have any deadlines, other than the pressure of knowing my readers are waiting to read a new chapter!

Doing chores, taking breaks, accomplishing bits of things here and there (a few worksheets, no writing, sadly)…

Well, my big deadline is at the end of August - I need to have a large set of worksheets done, if possible. I'm not sure I can make it - but if I can, I have a buyer set up ready to buy the bundle. I've signed up for Every Woman but the signups haven't even closed yet, so I don't have the deadline of my assignment hanging over my head yet. (And AUex is still in noms, so.)

I got some writing done yesterday, switched to writing by hand because that way I can't just delete it and start over.

My approach to deadlines is the same as the late great Douglas Adams "I love deadlines, I love the wooshing noise they make as they go by."
