WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 14 -- Wednesday

 Hello on Wednesday!  Sorry to miss yesterday, it was a weird and crazy day.   What's today like for you? Did you write?

If yes, what kind of writerly activity did you engage in?  How do you feel about it?

If no, what were the obstacles/situations that affected your writerly pursuits?  What will you do differently tomorrow (or later today) to get more writing done?

No, no writing for me. The only consistent thing in my week so far is that it is consistently weird and crazy, and I'm just dashing from one thing to the next. Hoping and trusting the weekend will be calmer so I can at least think about my writing!

I edited yesterday and this morning! (Well, I say “edited”, but it’s basically adding paragraphs and new sections to existing chapter drafts, so there’s a lot of writing.)

Work kept me from doing as much as I’d like, but I got something down, at least.

I haven't gotten any writing done either - but I did read my gift for Every Woman and reply (it was a nice little gift, creatively crossed two canons), and my recip loved their gift, even if it's gotten virtually no attention from anyone else, so it was worth it. I've been dealing with work and then a project that sucked up a bunch of time, but it's died down to a level where I can do it as I feel like it now without it getting in my way. So I've got to tackle the worksheet stuff since school is starting soon and I'm going to have a lot of work to do with the students I'll have.

I'm actually kind of waiting on my beta to get back to me on the last scene I wrote - which gives me a break from the pressure to write. I wish I could write, but I have a hard time writing when I'm feeling non-writing pressure, and that's ever-present these days.

The past few days I've been working on something that just refuses to come together, so today I tried switching to something else and was able to finish editing and post a ficlet for a prompt table. I was hoping the inspiration would carry over to the other thing, which it didn't, but at least I posted something.
