Discussion: what fic that you've written (posted or not posted) have you spent the most time working on?

Let Me Fade is pretty much the one that I've worked on the longest time. The initial idea for it started in 2010 when canon still had new eps and starting it in 2014. I'm currently reading through the posted to date as well as watching those eps, so that I can add new chapters once I get an uncooperative and potentially tricky interaction done.

I researched yesterday -- had to go back to earlier chapters in my fic to check on a few things to make sure I'm consistent in upcoming chapters. I now need to do some more research to be sure my plan is actually feasible!

The fic I've spent the most time working on is my Tolkien universe fic Lords of Gondor. I can't remember exactly when I started working on it, but I think it was as early as 2004! I worked on it pretty steadily for a long time, but then it went on hiatus for a number of years -- which is why I'm still not finished with it, even though it's been so long. I'm back to work on it now, though, and hope to bring it to a conclusion in the near future -- if not this year, then next year.
