Check-In – Day 29

Apologies for not posting yesterday. It was a very busy holiday for me. But I am here today, so what have you been doing?

Question: Do you write holiday-themed 'fic?

Yesterday was super busy with cooking, but I managed to get a bit of thinking in! Today I plan to do some research and outlining, along with some actual typing of words.

I have written a few holiday-themed stories for challenges or gifts.

Assuming I'm able to write today, today will be my 29th consecutive day of writing at least 100 words a day!

I'm also experimenting this time with keeping notes on my fic, so I know who did what, who knows what, what happened when, and what I've got in the planning stages. It's turning out to be a lot of fun, especially since I'm planning on this fic being a long, long fic. (I'm using comic book/soap opera plotting - never let everyone be happy at once.)

The closest I've written to a holiday-themed fic is a wedding anniversary-themed fic. Not that I'm opposed to holidays. I just haven't stumbled across a holiday fic idea.

Planning and prewriting for Femslash Kink. Some prompts just have a single sentence description, others have multiple paragraphs where a great deal of the prose are likely to survive multiple drafts and make it into the final copy. Only two of them don't yet have anything. Ten prompts total, down to eight since I'm combining three into one. Any writing for the rest of today will probably be on one of the longer current WIPs.

I can't recall ever writing holiday fic, but I'm not inherently opposed to it.

At current count, I've noted about 130 different prompts that are of interest of me. There's no way I'll ever fill that many, of course, but I'm going to have to think hard about how to narrow them down.
