WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 23 -- Monday

Hello on Monday!  What kind of a writing day has it been so far today -- or if today hasn't gotten going yet, how did you fare yesterday?

       - I did research and/or canon review

       - I edited

       - I've sent my fic off to my beta

       - I posted today!

       - I'm taking a break

       - I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

 

Monday Discussion:  This week a number of us are likely involved in some holiday preparations or are actually currently celebrating a holiday.  When it's a holiday time, how do you manage your writing habit?  Does it work to keep writing when you are busy or do you put writing aside for the time being?

I have been writing a bit every day, and I hope to continue that, even during the holidays this week. However, it won’t be easy, because I am the chief cookie baker and meal cooker around here, and that has been keeping me pretty busy! So far, I have managed to write about 500 words a day, and if I can keep that up, I’ll keep my streak going.

Made great progress outlining the remainder of one current WIP. Saved some time on my neglected Femslash Kink shorts by recycling an old unused idea for one of them. Goal is still to get all of them posted by the new year, so we'll see how close I come.

I posted on Monday and wrote on Tuesday, and I also made a list of unfinished fics that I still want/need to work on. Feel pretty accomplished on the fic front.
