I set some goals during snowflake_challenge, which starts again tomorrow, and managed to make some progress on three of them. I also did inkingitout for the 5th(?) time and am looking at finishing way over my goal of 75k on 190k words for the year and I'm all set to go again with it next year.

I did not meet any of my writing goals, but still wrote 71k, which pleases me in and of itself.

I'm writing a bit and planning more, trying to get organized for starting the new year off right with better writing goals.

I met some of my goals, in that I wrote at least 20 days out of each month, but I failed to accomplish goals set for consistent writing of new chapters and finishing a WIP that has been hanging around like an albatross! Therefore, those goals will be renewed for 2020.

Today, I am dealing with life in a big way: I get to discuss the future of my job with my boss. No matter how that discussion ends, I think this will be a big step forward in freeing up more time to write and regaining control of my life.

Because that was the big theme of 2019, in the end: Real life getting in the way of creative life. Even if you're a fairly old writer like myself, there are some skills that do not come easily, and I still have a lot to learn, no matter how much experience I've racked up over the years.

To everyone here, I wish you a good 2020, and may you meet your goals to come. :-)
