Woooo, yay for both fannish & housecleaning productivity! & yay for being in love w/the fic & pairing -- may that feeling last. :) Good luck w/the love scene!

Love scenes. Hmm I think I have to fancy (at least) one of them to feel I can write them, which I suppose is the point I guess, but also a bit embarassing!

800-ish words of snippety brain-dump today. I'm dipping my toes in a new fandom -- the j-drama Tumbling (that comm member [personal profile] katzenjamming introduced me to! There really isn't much of a fandom per se but MAYBE WE CAN MAKE ONE). While I'm not ready to write a fic seriously (especially as I haven't finished canon yet), I've been noodling around, writing little character sketches to get more comfortable w/the characters & how their minds work.

Makes a nice change from PACKING PACKING & MORE PACKING. How can the moving process take so looooong?

New fandom? That must open up a ton of new ideas. I don't dare at the moment - I don't want to risk delaying my present project so I'm holding off writing elsewhere. I'm really impressed when people maage to juggle.

I just finished a story! So the hard part now is going to be to wait a few days to let it settle so I can go back and edit it and make it better because there's this rush of euphoria with finishing, and wanting to share it RIGHT NOW. Hee!

I suppose you'd call it editing, what Ive been doing. Ive no idea of the word count. Ive been putting my chapters into ywriter and organising them, seeing where the gaps are. Its a pretty straightforward program. My fic's not too complicated so I can use it as a test of ywriter.

Then I tried to get dropbox and ywriter to work together - to transfer ywriter projects between computers. It didn't work. You can't have everything I guess.
ywriter is shareware so this question could be something I could discuss directly with the software developer.

My main reservation about the program was that the final output might be a mess of plans, notes and chapters mixed, as ywriter has windows for all these. But, no it seems happy to output txt or rtf (or even html though I haven't tried it) of just the chapters.

My issue: at the moment its privacy, keeping family and fic separated and having enough calm to think all the sentences through without half my mind on an ever present possibility of disturbance. I guess I could break the editing down, like the writing sprints.

Privacy. If I had a nickel for every time I was writing at midnight....

I wrote ~20 words and corrected a couple of typos. I keep having to remind myself that something is always better than nothing.

I spent quite a bit of time today researching a fic that I'm NOT EVEN PLANNING ON WRITING! Well, I suppose I must be planning on writing it someday, since I have a nice little folder on my computer where I can collect my research and any notes that might come in handy if I ever decide to write said fic. But seriously, it's not on my list of things to do any time soon, so why do I keep working on it instead of the chapter that is already half written? I suppose it must be some form of procrastination.

Ah, well. It was fun doing the research, and I expect I really will write something from it some day. ;-) And now that I have it (hopefully) out of my system for the day, maybe I can put in some time on the REAL fic....

No writing for me today. I had hoped to get the next bit in my continuing AU done, but the Muse is definitely being balky. I suppose it's understandable, because I'm on vacation at the lake, and there are too many distractions around! HOWEVER...I did have a great day. Took a nice long swim, did some reading, went shopping with Dad, watched a movie - enjoyable all around. Tomorrow's supposed to be rainy, so maybe that will spark a little creativity?

Today I did some betaing for a friend's story. It's quite long, so I'm doing the betaing in chunks. I then did some writing for a short story a few friends wanted me to do. Got a little over 500 words down. Hopefully I'll be able to get done quickly tomorrow after doing that warmup. Overall this week I made some progress with writing and editing my stories along with some betaing, so I'm not complaining.

I got about 800 words of my big bang done yesterday which is not nearly as much as I'd hoped but a start.
