WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 3 -- Friday

Hello on Friday!  Looking back at the day today -- or yesterday, if today hasn't gotten going yet -- how did it go?

   - I thought about my fic once or twice
   - I wrote
   - I did some planning and/or research
   - I edited
   - I've sent my fic off to my beta
   - I posted today!
   - I'm taking a break
   - I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

Looking forward, how are you planning to spend your weekend?

   - I'm going to make up for not writing all week by having a writing marathon
   - I'm going to keep writing at my current rate and see how it goes
   - I have other plans, but I might have time to get some writing in
   - I'm going to take a break from writing

I did a bunch of planning yesterday, which is always fun for me. Today I have the freedom to write as much as I want, but tomorrow is busier, being a holiday that involves some cooking, so we'll see how the rest of the weekend goes!

Unless death or crippling injuries intervene, I'm going to keep writing at my ever accelerating rate and post the final chapter before the weekend's over.

Finished one scene and am halfway through the next one. If all goes well, I'll have that draft finished by Sunday. Which is really necessary, because I entered it for the WIP Big Bang, and I need those six weeks until deadline for editing. No way in hell am I posting that rough draft in its current form anywhere!

I dug out some old story fragments from the 1990s and wrote a scene with some of the characters just to see if I could get back into their headspace. I was pleased to learn that I could.
