WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 17 -- Friday

Hello on Friday!  Looking back at the day today -- or yesterday, if today hasn't gotten going yet -- how did it go?

   - I thought about my fic once or twice
   - I wrote
   - I did some planning and/or research
   - I edited
   - I've sent my fic off to my beta
   - I posted today!
   - I'm taking a break
   - I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

Looking forward, how are you planning to spend your weekend?

   - I'm going to make up for not writing all week by having a writing marathon
   - I'm going to keep writing at my current rate and see how it goes
   - I have other plans, but I might have time to get some writing in
   - I'm going to take a break from writing

I wrote a bit today, hoping for more as the day wears on. In fact, I am considering a writing marathon for the weekend if I don't get interrupted too much with other things.

I finally, finally finished my rough draft!! Only took me two years, battling writer burnout all the way.

But I have two prompt claims with a deadline of July 31st, so no rest for the damned - my plans for the weekend are to revise one and come up with ideas for the other!

Yesterday didn't get to any writing, but am planning on making some progress this afternoon as I have "Summer Hours" aka get to log off work 2 hours early.

I'm behind because I haven't started yet today, but I'm still going to do everything in my power to get another chapter done.

I wrote ~600 words yesterday and finished an exchange fic (beta looked over and all) that I'm really excited about (can't wait to see what my recip thinks - but I wrote it so early that it'll be a looooooong wait), and I'm thinking about the longer series I'm working on that's not for an exchange. Maybe will have some time to write this weekend but not sure.
