WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 22 -- Wednesday

Hello on Wednesday!  I thought I would pop in and post a random check-in post to see how everyone is doing!  What kind of a writing day has it been so far today -- or if today hasn't gotten going yet, how did you fare yesterday?

       - I did research and/or canon review

       - I've sent my fic off to my beta
       - I posted today!
       - I'm taking a break

Wednesday Discussion:  It's the middle of the writing week -- how are you doing so far at meeting this week's writing goals?

I have been mostly doing editing recently. Aside from that, I am getting writing time in but I am not making progress at completing a particular chapter, which is one of my main goals for the month.

Haven't started writing yet as I think thoughts about a third story in my Dexter/Buffy crossover series, and muse over meta regarding dark themes in fiction. My thoughts, for anyone curious. Hoping to get at least one more scene finished before a planned busy evening calls me away from the keyboard.

Things have been going pretty well overall for this week. I've finished a gift for the Giftbox event and, while I might pop back and add to the ending, it's in a good place overall. Then I've been continuing to try and work through another chapter to my ever-ongoing longfic. I have the first scene solid now but figuring out the pacing for the next scenes has been odd. I keep wanting to put in a chapter break but it's really too soon for it, so I'm trying to make do. I hope to have it figured out by the weekend even if it isn't fully written.

I worked on an exchange fic that's been haunting me in the afternoon, and then at night I added a few words to another ongoing WIP that I've been steadily plugging at for a few months. Stopped at a very, uh, tense point, but that should just make it easier to pick back up tomorrow night.
