WIP Challenge Check-in -- Day 31 (Wednesday)

Today is Wednesday, and the last day of August -- how's it going for you today?

Were you/are you/will you be:

• dealing with non-writing things on your To Do List

Discussion for the day:  Let's continue talking about our original characters.  Once you figure out their names, what else is involved in coming come up with a good OC?  Do you create a back story for them before they appear on paper?  Does their history get researched after they appear and you realize they are going to be important?  Or do they develop as they please and you hope they will tell you how it's going to go from one chapter to the next?

Able to get around a little over 800 words of my Big Bang today. First I quickly wrote one scene that's going to happen later in the story that's been in my head for a while. I then was taking care a few things before going back and finish up one of the scenes of the chapter I'm in now. Besides the writing I was also transferring some notes and scenes in through Scivener. It's a really great program to organize your writing. ^^

My OCs I tend to have their backstories thought out, but I have them develop as they please during the course of the story and have them tell me what's going to happen next chapter.
