WIP challenge - weekly check-in!

How's it going this week? Still struggling on? Let us know how things have been & get sympathy & cheerleading!

Me, I feel like I've slowed to nearly a stop. I don't get much of a chance to write fic sometimes during the week anyway, but also I think the closer I get to finishing, the more nitpicky I get & the more energy it seems to take to do anything w/the story. In comparison, churning out tons of words at the start of a fic is easy for me, & chopping down those words in order to get to the good stuff is all right too. But now I'm at the tweaking stage that seems to feel really difficult to me, augh. Also the stage of self-doubt & maybe I should take out this major plot point & am I hitting the reader over the head w/this one bit of information & blah blah.

I will persevere! Really! I'll do some writing sometime this weekend (anyone doing fic_rush?).

& on another note, I've been browsing Yuletide letters & I really really hope you get some Secret Identities fic, because that will be AWESOME. If five requests were possible I would've added that one myself!

I'm doing fic_rush, and I have made progress on my WIP! My challenge is to write 1,000 words, and my count is now 194 words! So still a ways to go, but considering that this particular fic likes to sit there with zero words written for months and months, this is happy progress!

ETA: I ended up adding 857 words to my WIP during fic_rush, plus I even went on for a few more words after it was over! So all in all, this was a very successful weekend. I think I'm going to meet my challenge! :D
