WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 29 -- Tuesday

 Hello on Tuesday!  What kind of a writing day has it been so far today -- or if today hasn't gotten going yet, how did you fare yesterday?

       - I did research and/or canon review

       - I edited

       - I've sent my fic off to my beta

       - I posted today!

       - I'm taking a break

       - I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

Tuesday Discussion:  It's that time of year when goals and fresh starts are on our minds.  Do you have anything in mind that you want to do differently in the new year as far as writing goes?  Are you setting any writing goals that you want to share?

I love setting goals, and while I am not always great at achieving them, I feel that it helps me to have a goal in mind when I am working towards something. One of my writing goals in the coming year is to finish a WIP I have been playing around with for way too many years to mention, and I think it is time I concentrated on it to finish it.

I wrote today, and the words came quite easily. I've also been chatting about writing - which I always find makes every smoother.

Goal wise, I keep getting overwhelmed by the sheer volume of documents in my WIP folder, so I want to pull together a top 5-10 that I want to work on, then take it from there.

I've been working on some fun twists for my WIP and rereading old favorites for inspiration, all in service of trying to maintain a nice weekly posting schedule. But no writing today, it was a difficult day for unrelated reasons and it just wasn't in the cards, so to speak.

A little writing earlier and I’ve brought my notebook to work with doing nightshift tonight.

I’m doing inkingitout again and set some goals on a locked post recently and it’s mostly to finish off prompt tables, add a couple of chapters to Let Me Fade even though I’m hopelessly stalled with it. Write somethings for Stargate winter fic exchange once I have my assignment and maybe see what pinch hits come available.
