WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 1 -- Friday

 Hello on Friday and Happy New Year!  Looking back at the day today -- or yesterday, if today hasn't gotten going yet -- how did it go?

 

   - I thought about my fic once or twice

   - I wrote

   - I did some planning and/or research

   - I edited

   - I've sent my fic off to my beta

   - I posted today!

   - I'm taking a break

   - I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

 

Looking forward, how are you planning to spend your weekend?

 

   - I'm going to make up for not writing all week by having a writing marathon

   - I'm going to keep writing at my current rate and see how it goes

   - I have other plans, but I might have time to get some writing in

   - I'm going to take a break from writing

I haven't done any proper writing yet, but I hope to get something started at some point today. I have to start the new year off right by writing! It won't be a marathon, but I hope to get something that counts as words.

I have written many words and chatted to a friend about fics we're both writing - and discovered we've matched with each other in a fic exchange so there's been lots of excitement.

This weekend, I'm hoping to keep going at my current rate and hopefully maybe even finish this Christmas fic I'm writing!

I'm still on my holiday break, but errr...I did sign up for inkingitout, which may or may not have been a good idea. On the weekend I get back to my daily writing habit and start on my goal of finishing a chapter this month.

First scene done, second scene started. Had to spend the day doing more physical things with an aching back. Hope to get a bit more out tonight. The rest of the weekend will absolutely be spent writing.
