Hello!
What kind of writing day did you have?
- words happened
- life happened
- did something else related to writing
- took a break
Friday's discussion question: are you active in the same fandoms as a writer and a reader? Do you read the same kind of fics you write?

For me... not really. I'm trying to be more active in the fandom I write for, just because I want to support other writers! But at the same time, I very much play around in my own sandbox version of canon, and I don't want other people's fic to color my own perceptions of characters.
As a reader, I read for a lot of fandoms I've never written for, and never want to write for. Some of them are just a bit intimidating because there are SO many excellent writers, I don't feel like I could add anything to the fandom as a whole. And sometimes I read fic for canons that I don't even know (usually after following a talented writer)!
