WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 30 -- Sunday

Hello on Sunday!  What kind of a writing day has it been so far today -- or if today hasn't gotten going yet, how did you fare yesterday?

       - I thought about my fic once or twice
       - I wrote
       - I did some planning and/or outlining
       - I did research and/or canon review
       - I edited
       - I've sent my fic off to my beta
       - I posted today!
       - I'm taking a break
       - I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

Sunday Discussion:  It's a new writing week, and the last few days of the current month.  How are you doing so far with meeting writing goals for the month that's about to finish?

I got quite a bit of writing and editing done yesterday, so that was fun -- but none of it was for old WIPs that need new life breathed into them, so that makes me feel a bit guilty. In the next two days before June arrives, I will pay more attention to my WIPs that need some attention!

Yesterday started out another slow day like the ones I've been having since I got back into it. But progress gradually ramped up -- not so much in raw output, though I did finish another scene. But multiple plot and character elements are feeling a lot more solid as we move past the halfway point of the book.

I contacted the person who agreed to quick-beta the first chapter of a fic I started for an online challenge; I got distracted by other things, will send the fic later.

This month ended in an unexpected way, since I wound up starting an entirely new WIP instead of focusing on the other ones. ^^;; I did continue researching the (fake) science I was going to use for worldbuilding in an older WIP, so I suppose that counts?
