WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 12 -- Sunday

 Hello on Sunday!  What kind of a writing day has it been so far today -- or if today hasn't gotten going yet, how did you fare yesterday?

 

       - I thought about my fic once or twice

       - I wrote

       - I did some planning and/or outlining

       - I did research and/or canon review

       - I edited

       - I've sent my fic off to my beta

       - I posted today!

       - I'm taking a break

       - I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

 

Sunday Discussion:  It's a new writing week, and that means a fresh start.  Maybe last week wasn't the greatest for getting writing things done -- what kind of goals do you have for starting off fresh this week?

My week was super crazy last week, but I did manage to think about my fic a bit and get some brainstorming in for a sticky plot point. My goal for this week is to make sure I spend at least 10 minutes writing something related to my current WIP every day.

Yesterday I rested my back after twinging it and never did get around to writing, Company just left and more on the way, but I'm committed to writing at least a paragraph before bed.

I'm most likely not going to be able to write until tonight though I don't know how much time I'll have since it's a packed day. Therefore I'm going to take a page out of peachpai's book and at least write 50 words of the opening of my fic even if I don't get to work on the outline some more.

As for my goals to kick off the week, I've decided to start writing on my WIP despite not being finished with the outline yet. I have 2/3 of the fic outlined plus the ending, so I should be good to write for now and still work on brainstorming how I want to get to its climax. If it takes reminding myself that this is just a first draft and doesn't immediately need to be what I envisioned, I should be fine.

I've been writing off and on throughout the day... Edited a handful of complete chapters that I'll review again before posting. And now, I'm brainstorming a plot with which I've grown bored. It needs something to draw me back in...

I thought about my fic several times, and got a very few words written. Few, but more than none!

And today was my "Friday", so I hope for some time and energy to align tomorrow.
