WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 1 -- Friday

 Hello on Friday!  It's Day One of a new month!  Now that we've turned the page on September, we can put all the "didn't quite manage to reach my goals" stuff behind us and get a fresh start.  Whew!

Looking back at the day today -- or yesterday, if today hasn't gotten going yet -- how did it go?

 

   - I thought about my fic once or twice

   - I wrote

   - I did some planning and/or research

   - I edited

   - I've sent my fic off to my beta

   - I posted today!

   - I'm taking a break

   - I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

 

Looking forward, how are you planning to spend your weekend?

 

   - I'm going to make up for not writing all week by having a writing marathon

   - I'm going to keep writing at my current rate and see how it goes

   - I have other plans, but I might have time to get some writing in

   - I'm going to take a break from writing

I'm in the "didn't quite manage to meet my goals" camp, but I love starting fresh in a new month, so I am taking advantage of a free day today to do just that. I am not sure if a marathon can be had, but I am going to try!

It's a stunningly beautiful day outside. I really ought to practice writing in longhand again. I'd love to spend the whole weekend out in the sun and fresh air while also writing, but it'll probably be an even split.

I keep making more progress the night before than I remember, then being pleasantly surprised when I sit down the next day to continue.

I'm definitely following along this month and have a fic in progress I want to finish in the next few weeks.

Today, however, I worked on a different fic that is due soon. I edited it and sent it to beta. I hope to spend time tomorrow working on the other one!
