It's time to sign up for the November WIP challenge! The previous month can be found here.

Some people join the challenge midmonth, or comment on check-in posts without signing up, which is fine -- I'm glad there's a way for the challenge to be useful in a variety of ways.

But for those of you who find the commitment of signing up useful, please leave a comment with the below information.

Signups will be open until the end of November.

• Level of challenge: 1 chapter, 1000 words, 1 fic finished, whatever you like
  
• Fandom(s) involved: if you know at this point
  
• What you're looking for from the challenge: this could be as vague or specific as you like: someone to be accountable to, someone to remind you to write, someone to bounce ideas off, etc.
  
• What you could offer other participants yourself: ditto!
  
• How people should contact you: DW message, e-mail, IM etc.
  
• Time zone: useful for seeing who might be up for a writing session at a time convenient to you

I couldn't continue to run this challenge without assistance with the daily check-in posts. Many thanks to everyone who's helped with the check-ins before!

Please let me know if you'd be interested in helping out. A week per person would be ideal (I usually assign weeks running Sunday-Saturday just for consistency). I'm happy to help come up with suggestions for discussion topics (& Friday or Saturday is usually the general chat/snippet/beta-seeking etc. post).

Level of challenge: Goal is 50k (Nano), Stretch goal is 75k

Fandom(s) involved: The Untamed

What you're looking for from the challenge: Getting through this thing. it's already big and is going to get bigger.

What you could offer other participants yourself: Occasional check ins, pokes about things (probably only once, but at least that)

How people should contact you: DM through dreamwidth; I'm Just Jill on the nano site and I do check that, too.

Time zone: GMT-7 - Mountain Daylight Time until next week, when it becomes Mountain Standard Time.

Level of challenge: Finishing an outline for one fic and completing the first draft of a 2nd one.

Fandom(s) involved: Phantasy Star Online 2

What you're looking for from the challenge: Help with overall structure, pacing, word choice--I've mostly been a micro/flashfic writer up to this point, and now that I'm writing longer fics I worry about being stylistically repetitive.

What you could offer other participants yourself: Positive feedback! I think i'm okay at picking out specific bits in other's writing and explaining why I liked them, so if you need a little confidence boost i can help with that :)

How people should contact you: Comment or DM through dreamwidth is ok

Level of challenge: Relaxed this go around. Other than making sure I finish the first chapter of my Miluca Supernatural AU before the month is up, I don't have anything that absolutely needs to get done in November. I am, however, going to be taking stock of my WIPs to decide what I'd like to work on this month.

Fandom(s) involved: Primarily Roswell New Mexico, though I have a Peeta/Katniss Hunger Games fic that I already planned to start working on again.

What you're looking for from the challenge: Encouragement and, honestly, commiseration over the writing process. Ngl this community and everyone's check-ins have kept me afloat in these writing waters even as things have been rough.

What you could offer other participants yourself: Encouragement and cheerleading.

How people should contact you: A comment here is fine.

Level of challenge: 50K for NaNo, some of which will hopefully result in at lease one new chapter for one of my WIPs.

What you could offer other participants yourself: The same, plus encouragement through doing a weekly check-in or two doing the month
