WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 1 -- Friday

Hello on Friday!  Looking back at the day today -- or yesterday, if today hasn't gotten going yet -- how did it go?

   - I thought about my fic once or twice
   - I wrote
   - I did some planning and/or research
   - I edited
   - I've sent my fic off to my beta
   - I posted today!
   - I'm taking a break
   - I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

Looking forward, how are you planning to spend your weekend?

   - I'm going to make up for not writing all week by having a writing marathon
   - I'm going to keep writing at my current rate and see how it goes
   - I have other plans, but I might have time to get some writing in
   - I'm going to take a break from writing

I was not able to write yesterday due to it being super busy and my small about of free time was interrupted continually! Today is probably my best chance to make some writing progress; the rest of the weekend I have various things that will take big chunks out of the day (but I might have time to get some writing in!).

Spent the first part of the day being distracted by a lot of things; was able to write in the evening and meet my daily quota for Camp NaNo. Writing detailed scene and worldbuilding notes beforehand helped.

I signed up for unconventionalcourtship. Over the weekend I'll be choosing a Mills & Boon summary to work from and making an outline for the story.

I posted my first Dick or Treat fic and am now planning what to do next.

As for the weekend, I'll see what I can get done. Sunday afternoon promises to be busy already, so we see how tomorrow will go.

I'll probably be indisposed for most of the weekend due to the covid booster, but we'll see.

Wrote with the goal of three sentences, ended up with 120 words.

Yesterday I surprised myself by actually hitting 500 words. Tonight I need to try for the same - Camp NaNo started today, and I'm aiming for 15000 words for the month.
