WIP Challenge Saturday Check In -- Day 8

 What's your day been like so far today?  Has it been a successful one for writing?  Successful in other ways?  What have you accomplished (or not) today?

For discussion -- looking back on this past week, on a scale of 1 to 10 (where 10 is the best possible score) how would you rate your week of writing?  Why did you rate it the way you did?

Still no writing is happening in my neck of the woods. I had the week off, but did other things instead of writing (other than the bit of research I did earlier in the week). We'll see if I get inspired yet this weekend. ;-)

My week of writing rates a 4, I'd say. It wasn't a total failure, since I did work on some research and planning, but I know for certain I could have gotten more accomplished if I'd tried a bit harder. Seemed like being lazy was more needed this week than making progress in writing!

I'm really super-duper excited about Kaleidoscope & getting my assignment for that exchange (sign-ups end today!!), so today for my 750 Words I did a little noodling around w/one of the fandoms I might get assigned (excitingly, all the fandoms I offered except 1 have at least one request that isn't me \o/ ).

This week has been pretty lousy for writing in general, though. I think when I'm not really stuck into a fic, whether writing one or editing it, I find it hard to dive back in. I need to just open up some WIP files & pick the next thing to focus on. So... a 4, I think. I've been busy w/some other stuff, but I miss the fic!!

Saturday. A day that's usually bad for writing and was up to the usual standard, i.e., I did everything but.

As for the week as a whole, overall I did spent about one full day writing and finished a scene - which was the goal - but I didn't set the bar very high, so I(d give it a three.

I'm waiting for my beta to reply. I didn't plan to write anything in between, but now I've a little plot bunny...

Good day. Got some writing done. I'd rate the week a 5. I had some real ups, but also some real downs.

Not able to get any writing/editing done today yet as I pretty much kept leaving and coming back home, LOL. I do plan to get some editing of the fourth chapter of my Big Bang done later tonight, so hopefully I'll accomplish that.

Hm, I would give this week a 6. I really didn't do any new writing, but had done quite a bit of editing of my Big Bang and also looking over my friend's fics. I still want to polish up the early chapters of my Big Bang, so I'll still be doing that for a bit.

I did do some writing - not sure where it's going, as I tried to get into the head of a character whose motivations I'm not sure about. Interesting, but as it's the story I'm not quite writing, will it be of use?

As for the week as a whole - it's much better than September, as I wrote every day except yesterday, and yet - I need to start planning and working on longer stuff, and not just keep going at ficlets.
