WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 1 -- Thursday

Hello on Thursday!  What kind of a writing day has it been so far today -- or if today hasn't gotten going yet, how did you fare yesterday?

       - I thought about my fic once or twice
       - I wrote
       - I did some planning and/or outlining
       - I did research and/or canon review
       - I edited
       - I've sent my fic off to my beta
       - I posted today!
       - I'm taking a break
       - I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

Discussion - How easy is it for you to get side-tracked when you are determined to write?  What kinds of things to you find yourself doing instead of writing?

None of my writing goals for the week are being accomplished, because I keep getting side-tracked. Other stuff is getting done, but there's never an end to the "other stuff" so I don't seem to be able to get back to the writing track. The main things that side-track me are RL work, getting lost in research rabbit trails on the internet, and playing mindless games or watching videos because I'm "too tired" to write.

Switched horses yesterday and wrote on an original piece. Got that 3/4 of the way done. Seeded an idea for the next fanfic chapter, and realizing I'm going to have to take September off from that WIP to *clears throat* do my real job.

I finally worked on my story - went back through the first half to make any corrections and then got some more written. I plan to spend tomorrow working on how I want the rest of the story to go.
