Almost to the weekend, & heading ever closer to the end of this month's challenge! How's it going today?
For discussion: Perhaps you've seen the writing advice about doing something different to snap out of a rut -- particularly recommended seems to be writing in a different place than usual, whether that means in a cafe, in a different room of your house, inside a closet instead of at your desk! Do you do anything like this? Does it work? If not, what do you do to free yourself when you're feeling stuck instead?

Date: Thursday, October 20th, 2011 22:00 (UTC)I've tried writing in slightly different spaces, & sometimes that's enough to shake me up a tiny bit, but not as much as I feel like it should (given how often I've seen this kind of advice).
When I'm really stuck sometimes just putting aside the fic for a while -- it seems to help to name a specific length of time -- lets me recharge my batteries & lets my brain think about it in a different way.
