I made a few small revisions and prepped it for submission. I'm just waiting for my Brit picker to finish with it.

I'm scared it'll suck and that the recipient won't like it. :(

Otherwise, today I piddled with a lot of different stories, some fan fic, some original fic.

No writing today for me. Was in lectures till 5 and my motivation was gone by the time I got home. It's far too noisy outside now, so I wouldn't be able to concerntrate on my fic if I was to start now . There is tomorrow and Wednesday, my days off, for working on fics.

Scares - unintentional spelling mistakes, missing deadlines especially for challenges and running word counts.

1 - Spelling mistakes happen but it's usually after I've posted a fic that either its been pointed out to me or I've noticed it myself and thought grr.

2 - The missing deadlines thing has happened so much this year and even the challenge has an open round at the end of the year I always feel a wee bit guilty about posting during the open round.

3 - Running word count when I'm writing scares me a little more than seeing the actual word count on a finished fic. I'm weird like that :)

The need to plot scares me a lot (um, that was unintentional rhyming, I think). And not getting the characters to feel alive.

... wrote today. Changed the POV, but the stuff from the new POV is still interlude-ish.

*grimly* The POV change should move the plot along. I hope. Only now the current POV character needs to have a serious talk with the protagonist and I am afraid of that. (haven't written today yet. I feel like running away from that story and maybe starting a drabble. Or ten)

Today I have been doing what could loosely be called research, but it's really just watching back to back episodes of anime related to one of my fics. Love that research! I did come away with a few notes that will be useful, as well as being refreshed in the genre once more so I can actually write something now.

What scares me about my longest running WIP is that I've been writing it for years and I'm really just getting into the meat of the story. I'm still excited about it, but I definitely can't be content with one chapter a year. I wonder sometimes if I'll ever actually finish it!

I spent the evening editing/re-writing the flashback scene while watching a lot of fanvids. Funnily, the ones that were completely different in tone to my fic ended up being the most inspiring. So, a little more tweaking and then it should be fine.

I'm scared of writing overly schmaltzy and of messing up the character's voices.

And yay for plotless schmaltz writing!

Yesterday I posted my Halloween fic. The person I wrote the prompt for hadn't replied yet, but hopefully she will soon! Alo I was able to write a bit of another story for a LJ community, but then I got stuck. >.>; Part of it is I'm afraid I'm basically retelling what already happened in canon and part of it is not sure how to deal with the beginning. Oh, and because my mind can't stop thinking about NaNo and I'm excited for that (yay for going to start that later today), haha. I'll probably will have to come up with a new idea for the prompt if I still feel the idea I have now isn't working for me.

For my Big Bang, I too am afraid of messing up the character's voice. Luckily my beta was able to help me out on that, but it still annoys me a bit that I tend to make that mistake time to time. Also, I'm pulling all the stops with the political stuff and worried that'll be a huge disaster. D: Also thank goodness my beta gave me some pointers on that at least.
