How's it feel to be done this month? How are you finishing off the month?

I met all my goals except finishing my help_japan fic, but I've made some progress on that this month, more than I have for a while. & in total I finished more fic this month than I thought I would, so I feel pretty good! Today I started what might be a gift for eastasianfandomgiftbag, if I can find the time to fit in a bit of research & some thinking about it...

I am actually kind of proud of a few of my recent fics, heh. Though Seeing Begins in the Dark (the 2nd in my Natsume Yuujinchou OT3 series) makes me proud because it has actual plot in it. Suspense! Action! Danger! I struggle w/plot, so I was really pleased w/how this one turned out (thank goodness for betas).

Edit: I also managed to do some good revising/editing of the 3rd part of that series today, possibly why the 2nd part is in my head as "fic that makes me The Proudest" right now.

Again, I have no idea what my goals were, but at this point I'm revising and I'm excited about the revisions and the progress I'm making, so I'm calling it success!

Seeing as how tomorrow is December, I'm just going to include the last fic I posted...

Mistletoe

Harry Potter loved Christmas at the Burrow. The lights, the decorations, the treats and the smells. But best of all, he loved the mistletoe.

Ginny was always approaching him, pointing up and then snogging the dickens out of him. He didn't mind in the least. He loved snogging Ginny.

And despite the overabundance of mistletoe throughout the house, they hadn't been caught. Yet.

He feared Ron and Mr. Weasley's reaction the least and dreaded Mrs. Weasley's the most.

It made no sense of course. He and Ginny had been married now for seven years and were expecting their first child.

This has been a crappy, crappy month but looking at my fics just now I've been pleasantly surprised by how near my goals I got. Yay.

The three outlines I wanted to get done are all nearly done (enough so that I can write and fill in the final details as I go along) and I reached the word goal I wanted for my smallfandombang fic. The other two fics, well yuletide isn't started yet but I got a good start on the other exchange fic.

Here's to next Decemeber being better!

It feels ok to be done with this month. I'm finishing off with a full outline for my big bang fic and also several scenes written with varying word counts, to type them all and get it in to beta would be good at some point this month.

I didn't post enough of my fics to be proud of or to share. I am pleased with the few I posted but I'm not overly impressed with them.

I don't remember what my goals were except for one, and I definitely didn't accomplish, or even start on it. But I finished one fic and totalled nearly 12000 words for the month, and I feel pretty good about that. I think I would have reached my goal of 20K if I had included all the essays and whatnot I ended up writing this month, as well.

12k is a great word count for the month! Plus a finished fic, that's definitely something to be proud of :)

A little short on my goals this month, but I did get my Big Bang done and 7k of my help_japan fic written (dang it story, end already! D: ). Hopefully December will be better as I can't wait to get my edits for my Big Bang done and to get my help_japan fic finished if I can.

This month has been so-so. The bad part is that I didn't meet my goal of finishing the Fandom-Free-For-All fics. The good part is that I am very happy with the fic that I did finish and I made some progress on all three of the due WIPs. Regarding Mini-Nano, I failed to write on three days iirc, which is okay with me since I wrote so much more than the minimum word count overall.

The fic I'm proud of is Gravitational Lens. I really like how language and character point of view worked out.

It sounds like you've made really good progress!! I always feel like my goals need tweaking throughout the month depending on time/energy/what WIPs end up catching my eye, so all you've accomplished sounds good to me!

I went to the library and wrote 200-odd words! It got me through one sticky bit and into another :D

Goals for Nov absolutely did not work for me, so I made my sign up for Dec without them but with commitment to write fanfic. On a brighter note, Nov was very good for RL work but then thats part of the explanation of why it was so crap for goals.

I finally posted my (most recently completed) fic Slipping though my fingers Hikago (Akiko, Akira et al.) to the AO3 collection. Its prequel, with an explanation for the content of the parcel mentioned in this fic is still a WIP.
