How did your writing go today?
  • I wrote
  • I researched
  • I edited
  • I posted
  • I had too much else to do
  • I did something else I'll explain in the comments
For today's discussion: we now have the comm chat room, and we hold writing sessions. Along with this and other comms, there is a lot of opportunity to have writing sessions with other writers, regardless of where you are. Do you find these helpful at all? Is the group mentality good for you or is writing very much a solitary pursuit for you?

Not written much yet today, although I was assaulted by a bunny collective on the way to work this morning which gave me a scene for one story and a firmer plot for another. I'm resisting the siren call of them both to go back to work on "Displacement".

I like writing sessions. I used to get together with a couple of people every week and we'd just write together. Some sessions were more productive than others, but often as not, even if we weren't actually writing, we were TALKING about writing. I miss it.

Oh, and I'm hanging out in our IRC chat room right now.
