WIP Challenge: Sunday (Day 25)

Good morning!  I'm psyco_chick32 and I'll be checking in with you guys as we wrap up this month's WIP challenge!!

How's everybody doing today?  Word Count?  *points to icon* Is this a common thought lately?  Let us know in the comments!!


Also, let's talk about Descriptive Writing.
"Substitute 'damn' every time you're inclined to write 'very'; your editor will delete it and the writing will be just as it should be." ~ Mark Twain.

Do you love adverbs and adjectives?  Do you make an effort not to use them?  Obviously, descriptors can add a lot of word padding when you're desperately trying to hit a goal (**cough** NANO **cough**) - is that a "trap" you've fallen into?

No writing accomplished yet, but there's still time.

I can honestly say that sometimes I definitely use too many adjectives--but that's a habit I've been slowly getting myself out of for the past couple years. When I wrote my first book for my senior project I just said EVERYTHING instead of holding back and saying what was important. I like to think I've improved since then : )

Adjectives and adverbs are fun! It's good to try and wean yourself away for when it's necessary, but describing things is fun <3
