Today is my last day of Check-Ins. It's been a great pleasure seeing everyone's progress and hearing everyone's thoughts and ideas! Good luck in September!!

So PWPs!! Porn without Plot. Plot, what Plot? However you define the acronym, how do you go about constructing them so that they can stand alone and be the perfect snapshot? Do you start with the idea or the scene and then write, or do you just start with a pairing in mind and see what happens? Personally, I need a hook to do one successfully. Without a simple hook, they either peter out or they grow a plot and become something more.

Date: Saturday, September 1st, 2012 18:35 (UTC)With PWP I tend to just let them run and not think about it. I did have one that got out of control because I had to keep increasing the rating as I added more words. I find that bad jokes often help when writing PWP because there is never any place for them in my other works.
