Today's discussion question: Do you like to talk about your story ideas before you write them or while you're working on them? Or does doing that kill the story?
I tend to like to talk. It helps me shape the story in my head and can let me know when I'm going off track entirely.

Date: Sunday, June 9th, 2013 18:55 (UTC)I talk about story ideas with my son if I'm not certain about whether my idea is quite on target or not. We are on the same wavelength so he either encourages me or helps me come up with a better idea.

Date: Sunday, June 9th, 2013 20:31 (UTC)I don't talk about my writing with my friends in RL but I used to do that quite a lot with my flist when I was active on LJ because it was good to have other perspectives on thigns and also bounce ideas too. I do actually miss it even though I rarely post anything writing related, maybe I'll start doing that again at some point.
